Log Cabin Saga

And really - it did as far as the experience but financially it was a stretch and would be a money pit. However it gave us a chance to live our dream for a couple of months, and imagine what the future could be like. I've often bemoaned that our house wasn't what 'I wanted' and I'm always looking for a more ideal home. Not that ours is bad. It's in a great location, and a very safe neighborhood, but it isn;t the 'perfect layout with the perfect space to accommodate everything I want now - no 3 car garage, no storage room, kitchen too small for a family of 6 to sit around the table comfortably, etc.) But the cabin was a lot smaller and we liked it. Granted we didn't live there day in and day out for years, it was a cabin and a vacation spot. But it put things into a little better perspective for me. And someday, this house of ours may be just exactly what we need, and allow us to do the things we want....like have a summer cabin in the future...or turn our home and yard into our 'vacation spot'.
