When lavender goes blue

At lunch today I went to Judy's Enchanted Garden to look at lavender and walked away with two blueberry starts, three pots of campanula (blue bells), and one small pot of black-eyed Susans. After sampling the berries, and then tasting the tempting tiny tomatoes, I thought I came out pretty well.

Not a one. After noticing lavender here and there around the area, I realized I really need to know what I’m after because I don't want something big and blooming in June and big and brown in August.
