crazy technology

Don't judge me harshly this confession, but the first time I let my guard down about the new "ai" technology was when Elder Gong spoke in General Conference about the competition between the men in his family and "ai" telling Dad jokes.  Elder Bednar mentioned in a Nov 2024 BYU-I devotional that he used it to review the devotional he composed and made some edits based on the improvements he saw.

Austin and I played with "ai" using British voices to introduce a work product for his company.

So, I thought it would be fun to see what "ai" could do with a 12 min talk I was preparing for church next Sunday.

I spent some time thoughtfully reviewing conference talks related to the subject matter and gave some parameters to "ai" about style and content.  I laughed when it said, "As Lisa Braas would eloquently express in her personal journal...choices are like seeds that must be planted and nourished daily to produce...."

It's a bit eerie to realize how much information the internet has about me.

But it really did help to formulate and refine my talk.

Crazy.
