Today my son was learning to make pie. His failed pie crust brought an opportunity to make one of my favorite childhood treats - pie crust cookies. My mom made these nearly every time she made a pie crust. I love the salty flour pastry topped withe a touch of sweet cinnamon and sugar - perhaps even more than the pie itself. I don't get this elaborate and simply cut the rolled pie crust into squares, sprinkle and bake. "They sure do taste GREAT!" (Tony, the Tiger)
