Family History

My son is interested in family history.  He used to do pedigree charts of Old Testament prophets and their lineage.  He was interested in ours for awhile.  Now that he is re-connected with his birthfamily, he is completing line upon line of birth family ancestory.

We thought it was important to allow him to reconnect, and it would be a positive thing in his life. When given the choice, he chose to arrange time with birth family that allowed him to keep his commitment to church duties and our family. Kudos to him for that!

Still, I can't help that I also feel a knot in my stomach.

Isn't it interesting how experiences can be positive and negative at the same time depending on which part you have?
