moving day

Spent the entire day moving things from room to room. Now the boys have their own rooms each and the girls have a large room to share.

Rockhopper spent hours designing his interior pad. Changed color scheme from blue and tan to green, brown, black and white. "Restful earth tones" he said. he wanted to shampoo the carpet and paint all the walls, and much more but he settled for a new saucer chair, captains bed, and comforter with body pillow.

Chinstrap has his own space. He still calls out "Mom, where is my --?" I've informed him that he's in charge of his own things now and cannot continue to blame others for taking things. He had use of the TV/video combo last night, but this morning the TV was taken into protected custody. Otherwise, chinstrap would watch Star Wars all day. I think his favorite part is that he can listen to all kinds of music, fairly loudly without Rockhopper complaining so much.

Humbolt and I went bike riding at 6:30 this morning. Yesterday she returned from camp where she discovered canoes and hammocks. If she could spend her time at the beach with a hammock, canoe, and hot sun...she'd be set for life.

Adelie slept better last night than she has for a year. She moved from the upper to lower bunk and likes the glow in the dark stars left there by her brother.

So off we go to another day of organization and cleaning!

And when we finish here, the cabin awaits!
