Whining....Doctor is in

So, after the episode of my son swallowing a pencil two weeks or so ago, I am back at ER because my youngest swallowed a penny and felt like it was stuck at her esophagus. Between these two events, I had a visit with my oncologist (everything is fine) and spent a few days helping Mom recover from her full knee replacement, and have taken my oldest daughter to the doctor for what turned out to be an ear infection.

Could be worse - there could be no doctor! Imagine a few centuries back when treatment for a swallowed foreign body would have consisted of open cavity search or leaches for an ear infection!
